As a CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer and health/fitness enthusiast, it is my passion to help other people make better lifestyle choices concerning their health. My journey toward fitness includes placing top three (in my age group) in numerous local charity races. Other races include two half marathons to benefit breast cancer research, as well as placing 10th for my age group in the American Lung Association's Fight for Air Climb, Jacksonville, which involved climbing 43 flights of stairs for a completion time of 9:47. I have loved CrossFitting now for over 2 1/2 years and participated in the 2011 and 2012 CrossFit Games Open, Masters Division.

The human body is the best picture of the human soul. -Ludwig Wittgenstein, 20th century philospher
The ability to sustain [that] fitness throughout your life is a defining measure of health.

Kathryn is the owner of My Yoga and More powered by CrossFit Camden. Kathryn began CrossFitting on a HOT summer day in 2012 and has been addicted ever since. Kathryn focus teaching Yoga to athletes using Hatha Vinyasa Flow and Power Yoga infused with Pilates. Using these styles, she believes it increases their performance, endurance as well as improve balance and mental acuity in any sport they choose.
Favorite quote- “If we hack into the full body mechanics Yoga gives us, we can understand and integrate the complete full mind, body and soul into the athlete, and then address all the elements that limit movement and performance. Yoga will minimize injury and maximize performance for a full and healthy life.”

An educator for 34 years, I am honored to be the Superintendent of Camden County Schools and most importantly, a child of Christ.
A fateful choice in college to enroll in an advanced P.E. course titled “Fitness for Life”, jokingly labeled fitness for death due to the academic and physical demands, led to a life-long motivation to study and pursue health, fitness and nutrition. I started CrossFit in 2012 after years of training alone to condition for off road motorcycle racing.
While racing dirt bikes and CrossFit are probably not conventional choices, both contribute to the balance I need to be the best dad, husband, friend and superintendent I can be. The physical challenge and fun of CrossFit help balance the demands of many roles while the intensity builds self-reliance and confidence by forcing us out of our comfort zone.
The opportunity to share CrossFit with others through coaching, return to teaching and continue my own goals to be healthy, happy and useful is a blessing.

I have completed a Disney Half-marathon... and the Gate River Run the past 3 years.
I discovered and fell in love with CrossFit over 5 years ago right here at CrossFit Camden. I am a fitness enthusiast always taking advantage of opportunities to help others reach their fitness goals. I walked in the doors to try something new..... "constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity"...and I stayed because it works! ....and the athletes are awesome!!
When God placed CrossFit in my life I had no idea what I was getting myself into, or how much of a positive impact it would have on my mental and physical health. I was hooked on the first day. CrossFit provides me with a positive and supportive community and an opportunity to reinforce good, healthy lifestyle choices. Every day as an athlete, I get to challenge my body and win small victories. As a Coach I get to watch and help others fight and win the same battles. I love to experience other people grow and get stronger in the box. To be a part of a “first pull-up” or a “PR” is heartwarming and inspiring to me. That’s why I love to Coach. I want to help others achieve greatness, be the best, strongest, fittest and most positive athlete they can be.
